‘M’ is for the month of May…

Posted in Uncategorized on June 15th, 2010 by mish

‘M’ is for Mother’s Day! The first Mother’s Day that Michele and her mom have spent together since she left home in 1993.  Michele’s Mom is holding her own these days…on a new fandango treatment called Iressa – a tyrosine kinase inhibitor targeting activated epidermal growth factor receptors.

‘M’ is for Michele’s 40th! Spent in Santa Fe, New Mexico!

‘M’ is for Mark Munk’s Marriage to Martina! That took place in Santa Fe, New Mexico, the day after Michele’s Birthday.

Other non-‘M’ related events in May included mainly birthdays: Imbaw on the 31st, Mark on the 25th, Alli on the 23rd, Julie on the 15th and Jasmine on the 8th…and that’s enough birthday cake for this month…

Lots more pics of these events and others posted in our albums, archives and even on facebook…drop us a line if you need a password…

Of Cross Country Skiing, Snowmen and Hockey…February

Posted in General, Uncategorized on March 27th, 2010 by mish

Although we didn’t get much snow in Saskatoon until Late January, when it did start falling it was beautiful and of course awesome for skiing on.  Thomas took  a liking to his cross country skis and we got out a couple times all together…However dad had his work cut out for him later in the day! Click on the Thumbs to see full size.

In Mid February we headed down to Boston.  Fortunately we had a big dump of snow shortly after our arrival and Lola and Thomas went to work…Later that week Phil offered up a free hockey lesson on Spy Pond out his new backdoor. Thomas fared marginally better than Nathaniel…

Close Encounter of a Christmas Kind!

Posted in Uncategorized on December 19th, 2008 by mish

Looks like it will be a white Christmas in Saskatoon this year!  10 days ago the thermometer dipped down to -34 degrees Celsius and hasn’t been above -20 since.  Brrr.  Snow accumulation hasn’t been enough for tracked skiing, but we seem to get a little bit more every night (total accumulation is about 4 inches so far), so hopefully by the new year we’ll be swooshing over fields and dale.  Thomas is intrigued by all things Christmas this year, presents, christmas trees, and SANTA!  Or ‘AHANTA’ as Thomas calls him.  Santa visited a Christmas party that Thomas was attending and I’m posting a picture of Thomas’s ‘close encounter’. That’s about it from this end.  We aren’t travelling anywhere this holiday season, just hanging out waiting for ‘mom’ to pop anyday now…

Airport PlayDoh Incident

Posted in Uncategorized on November 26th, 2008 by mish

Thomas’ playdoh was confiscated by Toronto airport security while he was enroute to Boston this AM. Imbaw demanded to see a list showing this and they said they didn’t have one but were “trained” to know. They told him to check the website for the list which he did and couldn’t find it. He called a phone agent and he wasn’t sure why it would be confiscated but he said to submit a complaint on the site for a definitive answer…Too Funny!

Thomas Loves Snow!

Posted in Uncategorized on November 20th, 2008 by mish

In other news Thomas has discovered SNOW and seems to love it.  That and dressing up like batbaby and trick or treating!  Imbaw is doing fine despite a knee injury that has kept him out of the running (so to speak) for almost two months now.  He’s looking forward to getting on his skis soon though…Thomas and Mish too!
