{"id":26,"date":"2008-07-07T12:52:11","date_gmt":"2008-07-07T18:52:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.mish.ca\/wordpress25\/?p=26"},"modified":"2020-12-11T08:19:10","modified_gmt":"2020-12-11T14:19:10","slug":"37-degrees-and-still-simmering","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.temptimes.com\/blog\/2008\/07\/37-degrees-and-still-simmering\/","title":{"rendered":"37 degrees and still simmering&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">July has arrived and with it hot temperatures (37 degrees Celsius last Monday!!) and a slowing of the general pace of everything.\u00a0 Despite being up 15 pounds and pregnant I managed to get out windsurfing 3 times last week (moved into the 2nd trimester &#8211; so nausea and headaches are gone thank goodness!).\u00a0 Twice at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bssc.ca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Blackstrap<\/a> and once at <a href=\"http:\/\/members.shaw.ca\/saskatoon-sailing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Redberry<\/a>. I can&#8217;t say that &#8216;I&#8217;ve still go it&#8217; but it was a lot of fun.\u00a0 Raced a total of 5 races &#8211; discovered that I need about 8 knots of wind on the old MSA cobra to stay ahead of the lasers and 29ers.\u00a0 Any less than this and I shoot out the back of the pack.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"lightbox\" href=\"https:\/\/www.temptimes.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/07\/100_01971.jpg\" class=\"thickbox no_icon\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-30\" title=\"Windsurf I\" src=\"https:\/\/www.temptimes.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/07\/100_01971-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a><a rel=\"lightbox\" href=\"https:\/\/www.temptimes.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/07\/100_0198.jpg\" class=\"thickbox no_icon\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-28\" title=\"Windsurf II\" src=\"https:\/\/www.temptimes.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/07\/100_0198-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a rel=\"lightbox\" href=\"https:\/\/www.temptimes.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/07\/100_0215.jpg\" class=\"thickbox no_icon\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-29\" title=\"Windsurf III\" src=\"https:\/\/www.temptimes.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/07\/100_0215-300x224.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"224\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">While I was busy windsurfing, Thomas and Imbaw flew to Boston for a family visit.\u00a0 Good parties were had and a trip to the Boston Aquarium was a highlight.\u00a0 If you would like to see some video footage of &#8216;Thomas and the fish&#8217; drop us an email and well send you the link.
